Alicia

Alicia is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Alicia's accomplishments have been that she has recently given a speech for her High School about The Hope Coalition, and job options; graduated high school, and attending college. Alicia had previously experienced homelessness herself. Alicia is working on creating the operations manual, employee manual, practicum student manual, volunteer manual, and the Administration Policies.

Anna

Anna is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Anna's accomplishments have been becoming an established promoter, not being dead yet, and overcoming a life changing accident. Anna is working to continually manage the Social Media aspects of The Hope Coalition.

Brandon

Brandon is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Brandon's accomplishments have been graduating high school and attending college, and volunteering as a coach for soccer teams in Oakville. Brandon is working to create a youth program in McHardy Court/Fair Oaks.

Crystal

Crystal  is a Social Service Candidate         at Sheridan College. Some of Crystal's accomplishments have been completing the 50km Ride for Refuge, working with the YMCA in Brampton to encourage healthy lifestyles amongst the poverty community, and being published in the Brampton Guardian. Crystal is working to create, design, and implement new strategies to market The Hope Coalition, and maintaining The Hope Coalition Blog.

Dexteisha

Dexteisha is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Dexteisha's accomplishments have been volunteering at an elementary school to create interactive and educational activities for students, graduating high school, and attending college. Dexteisha is working on Creating a Youth Program in McHardy Court/Fair Oaks.


Emily

Emily is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Emily's accomplishments have been organizing the Night Out in The Cold, going to college, organizing a No Coat Day to raise awareness for homelessness, and organizing a fundraising concert. Emily is working on creating an advocacy program for The Hope Coalition.

Florence

Florence is an Addictions and Community Service Candidate at Everest College. Some of Florence's accomplishments have been working for the previous election in Brampton, being an advocate for abused women and children, and volunteering at a church. Florence is working on creating a Harm Reduction program, and Women's Support Group, and also researching resources.

James

James is a Social Service Candidate for Sheridan College. Some of James' accomplishments include being a Rogue Artist, a single father of 2 wonderful children, and having a diploma in Graphic Design. James is working on proposals for The Hope Coalition merchandise, The Night Out in The Cold, and a Mississauga Soup Kitchen Outreach Program.

Jeffrey

Jeffrey is an Addictions and Community Service Candidate at Everest College. Some of Jeffrey's accomplishments have been being sober for 3 years in December, completing a Suicide Intervention Course, and volunteering with a food bank. Jeffrey is working on a Sexual Abuse and Assault Survivor Group for Men.

Justine

Justine is a Family and Community Social Service Candidate at The University of Guelph-Humber. Some of Justine's accomplishments have been organizing a workshop for new immigrants on legal advice, organizing a Terry Fox run at a high school, first student in her previous course to have her own cases with elderly people who have Dementia, and won a merit scholarship. Justine is working on the Administration Manual, and structuring and organizing The Hope Coalition.

Karlene

Karlene is an Addictions and Community Service Candidate at Everest College. Some of Karlene's accomplishments have been volunteering for a soccer club, volunteering in a library, and volunteering at a church. Karlene is working on creating a Harm Reduction Program, Women's Support Group, and resource research.

Mariam

Mariam is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Mariam's accomplishments have been completing the walk to fight Arthritis, part taking in Tae Kwon Do, being apart of a Neighborhood Watch Program, completing a babysitter course, and volunteering with children. Mariam is working on creating a Muslim Outreach Program, the S.T.E.P.S Program, and the Transition House.

Megan

Megan (LPL), is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Megan's accomplishments  have been having a strong background in food and beverage management, taught at Humber College with graduating chefs, volunteered criminal youth, and is a practiced paralegal. Megan is working on the legal and financial aspects of The Hope Coalition, mandated work, and overseeing proposals.

Melissa

Melissa is an Addictions and Community Service Candidate at Everest College. Some of Melissa's accomplishments have been volunteering with a Portuguese Church, graduating High School, having her daughter, and working with The Hope Coalition. Melissa is working on creating a Harm Reduction Program, Women's Support Group, and resource researching.

Patricia

Patricia is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Patricia's accomplishments have been facilitating groups for youths with various programs; was a PSW for senior citizens in York, was a CSW for developmental persons, won 3 scholarships for post-secondary education, and is a mother of four. Patricia is working on the Youth Program.

Scarlett

Scarlett is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Scarlett's accomplishments have been winning the Toast Masters Award, being part of the Leadership Program in High School, completing the CPR course, volunteering with homeless people in Mississauga and Toronto, volunteering at Food Banks, and being bilingual in English and Spanish. Scarlett is working on the Transition House, creating proposals, and Fundraising for The Hope Coalition.

Shinell

Shinell is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Shinell's accomplishments have been volunteering with students who have disabilities and mental illnesses, being a part of a public speaking campaign against bullying, and creating skits for the bullying campaign. Shinell is working on The Hope Coalition's film, creating the Owner's Manual, creating a fundraising talent show, and keeping everything organized and structured within The Hope Coalition.

Susan

Susan is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Susan's accomplishments have been working professionally in the field of accounting for 15 years, currently working towards a second career, being a mother of two wonderful children, treasurer on the Parent Council Committee for a school, Brownie Unit leader, and an active parent volunteer in the Catholic School system. Susan is working on the legal and finance aspects of The Hope Coalition, incorporating The Hope Coalition, banking needs, and resource researching.

Tiffany

Tiffany is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Tiffany's accomplishments have been volunteering with an Out of The Cold Program in Etobicoke, completing the 25km Ride for Refuge, attending college, and being the Vice President of The Portuguese Club in High School. Tiffany is working on maintaining The Hope Coalition's website, and creating, organizing, and establishing The S.T.E.P.S Program.

Troy

Troy is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Troy's accomplishments have been volunteering with the elderly, organizing The Homeless Maze, and trying to open an Adult Shelter in Orangeville for The Hope Coalition. Troy is working on expanding The Hope Coalition to other regions of Ontario.

Valenee

Valenee is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Valenee's accomplishments have been a part of the Student Council in High School, President of the Athletics Council in High School, receiving a Paralegal Diploma, and being a mother to an 8 year old. Valenee is working on the Transition House, and a Youth Program at a Women's Shelter.

Vitas

Vitas  is a Social Service Candidate at Sheridan College. Some of Vitas' accomplishments have been winning 1st play at the Canadian Truck Driving Championships in Ontario, winning 2nd place in the National Championships of The Truck Driving Championships, study at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy, started an Art Program at the Catholic Children's Aid, started and organized company truck pick-ups for Food Bank. Vitas is currently advocating for The Hope Coalition in Hamilton and is working on starting a breakfast workshop for the homeless community in Hamilton.

William

William is an Addictions and Social Service Candidate at Everest College. Some of William's accomplishments have been volunteering with the City of Brampton as a Camp Councilor, part-taking in Leadership Workshops in Brampton, completing the 25km Ride for Refuge, being President of Everest College, and organizing fundraisers for Everest events and programs. William is currently working on The Homeless Maze, creating proposals for funding, designing fundraisers, and working on ongoing sponsorship programs.
